goes after almost a week in an alien world we are now going on with our blog. The journey was largely uneventful, 4 hours by car Dusseldorf, 10 hours to fly to Male, 2 hours after Gan (Airport of the atoll) to fly and travel 30 minutes by speedboat. In between the one or other facilities at airports, until we finally arrived with great anticipation. Many palm trees, a beautiful green of the whole plant, the different sounds of animals or insects, and many, many nice people have received us.
We then first relax with a cocktail reception and were shown our room. The accommodation proved to be much more comfortable than expected. We will also receive a small zoo. We live with at least 4 Gekko, dangerous animals (some very large beetles!) Together, whose name we do not know. Outside, in the trees suspended upside down flying foxes (the size of a rabbit), which fortunately only eat limes. To our delight, there are very few mosquitoes.
That evening we took a look at the resort and even including the Medical Center and the Dive Center. Our colleague (on the island are always two doctors) showed us to our future work. Then we could finally sleep. The next day it was
then our uniforms and ready to start. The work here is more relaxed in comparison. We are open 7 days a week, 5 hours, if you would also have a whole day free time you have another day 10 Hours of work. We see one or two patients per hour. The rest of the time to read, talking to guests or colleagues and surfing the web. The most common diseases include colds, back pain, ear problems and minor wounds. Diving accident situations existed in the past 18 months five. 90% of the patients are 10% of the staff and guests. Since in the Medical Center is too little work Jasmine works at the Dive Center and serves guests. They advise on matters such as recreation water sports, scuba diving, parasailing, fishing trips .... A very interesting job because you with a lot of people, all kinds of nationalities come into contact and not just as a tourist.
Life on this Hotel Island is very small yet varied and exciting (ask us again in a few weeks). Is employing about 500 people of all nations. That also makes it particularly interesting now after a few days to find imm

We all eat in the staff canteen, the food is varied and tasty, but the sharpness has to get used to still. The ambience, however, resembles a German canteen. All Staff speak English, of course, with many different accents, which made the first really difficult to understand. But it is ... .
